This is Be more Chill by Ned Vizzini. Last year i picked this up to try it out. Probably my favorite book ever. Its about a loser that swallows a pill called a squip that tells him what to do and what to say to raise his popularity. Honestly when you hear the concept it sounds lame but once you start reading you wont be able to put it down. A good ass book.
